The Club 18 a member of the Intemational Association of Lions Clubs. Th club was originally established in
1982 and was established as a Charitable InC0￿rated Organisation (CIO) on 17 Decemter 2018.

The Lions Club of Wnslow raises ftJThas eath year to enable Ft to provKle grants to des8piing causes within the
nslow and Buckingham area, nationally and overseas via the Lions Clubs Irrtemational FoU￿latIon. It also
supports and puts on events to benefft and serve the local community. Grants are made in aC￿rdan￿ with
the Club's Grant MakirwJ Policy.
Since registration as a CIO. th8 Tmstees have paMJ regard to Charity Commission's guidan￿ on publ
benefit in dealing bwth the objectives and aCtivi￿S of the dub.

The club relies on the Surpluses generated from fundraising events and, on occasions, donations from the
public, to provide the fvnds with 7•thich to cary (xrt ts owtives. All administrative expenses of the Club are
met from donations paid by its membeTr. There has been no change to these ￿lIcIeS duriNJ the reporting
period.
The V￿rk of the CIO is orrted out entirely by volunteers.
From time to time as appropriate, the Club woths dosety with otsr local and national agencps, other Lions
Clubs and Lions Clubs Intemational to achieve its obiedives.
4. Manag•m•nt and govornanc• arrangom•nt8
The club is govemed by rts CIO do￿rnent dated 17 Deixmber 2018 arKI by th8 Constitution and By4aws of
Llons Club Intemational. The trustees are appointed as appropriate by the members of thè Club and have
overall responsibilty to ensure the Club OFerates in accordance with Charity law and the Club's CIO
document. The day to day running of the club is overseen by the Club's Offi¢*rs, 818ded each year by tha
membe1¥. All business of the dub is ratified or other¥*i8e by members in weral meetlngs hekl on(x a month.
The Club 18 ably supported by the volunteer 8efvice8 of ts member8 and other8.

The ongoing Coronavirus pandemic urrfortsjnately FKrt a stop lo our nonnal fundraising actNities over the 12-
month period, when we had to ￿TKIUCt our activities Virtually.
However, during thls period, the Club rai8ed some fund8 from its members by organlsing talk8 and quizzes via
Zoom me8tings. This income, together with individual Contributi￿$, helped us to continue to make a further
16 donations to irKlividual, LO￿7, National a￿1 Intemational, needy causes, to the tune of some £7.5K, - vthich
was considerably in exce88 of the fund8 that we had b88n able to raise during this period., and 8upplemented
from our limited resep4es. As our Treasurer will report ￿ were *Jlg lo meet our commitments on three
projects Y￿ agreed to fund in 201W20.
AS a registered charty ￿ Successfully applied to H M R C for Gift AKI status. l am pleased to report that
through many members signing up to Gift Aid, we were a￿e to gain a s￿nIficant, much needed boost to our
charitable funds.
The membership of Charity rx>ntinues to follow the Lion's creed of We Ser4e," and remains in good
condition to maintain its support of r￿dY Lxus88 and recommen￿ our nornal policy of organising fUrt￿r
fundraising events as the Pandemic restiictions are relaxed.

7. Financial review and statsment of flnancial activities for the year ended 30 June 2021.
It is the policy of the Club to maintain un￿strICted fvr#Js onty to extent that they are expected to be
required within the foreseeable fuiure to meet the ot¥'eQives of the Club. The adequacy of the resetves policy
is reviewed periodically.
The Trustees have considergj the major ri8ks to whith the Club is expowj to satisfy themselves that systems
are in place to rnitigate thoge risks.
Recèlpts and Payments Aeeounts for Lk•n8 Club of WiMIow
The receipts arKI payment account infonnation detalled on pages 8 & 9 is taken from the Charity Commission
pro-foma for receipts and payments accounts which provths the r8commended fomat for the preparation of
Such accounts arKI therefore meets the requirements of the Charity Commiss￿n. The pro fonna is designed
to meet the minimum recommended levels of accountabilty.
Receipt8 and payments accounts are statements that summarise the movement of cash into and out of the
harity durirvJ the financial year. In this context 'ca8h' indudes cash equlva￿nts for example bank current and
other cash accounts into which money is banked or u88d to make payments. It is genèrally accepted that
receipts and payments accounts shoukl not report all indivKlual receipts and payments- these are recorded
in the Club'8 ￿8h book from which this summary infornation 18 drawn.
The8e financial statements are prepared in GBP Sterling, rounded to the nearest pound whic* is the functional
currency of the Llons Club. Lions Club of Wnslow meets the deffinrtion of a public entity under FRS102. The
Trustees consKler that there are no material uncertaints8 about the Lions Club of Win8loWs ablllty to continue
as a going contxm.
Receipts including fundraising arKI donations are rocognised vthen there is enttuement and certainty of receipt
8nd the amount Can be a88ured with Sufficient relialxlty.

Dues to Lions Intemational arKI District 105A indude those payment5 associated with constitutional
requirements.
Due to the postponement, and eventual canceltation, of the 2020 and 2021 Winslow Beer Festivals, several
sponsors requ¢$ted tr*¢ Club to retain aponjorship monios already paid pending the next Festival. The total of
monies retained is shovm as Restricted FurKls as it is being held on behalf of the sponsors.
The tharity Gurrent a¢courrt Mmprises funds raised, aTvJ donations ￿ceiVed thich, I￿rnia]ly, have not been
restricted by the donors or designated by the Trustees for a particular use. The Trustees are entrtled to
allocate such unrestrickd funds as they see fft t¢Mards the objects of the Club. The funds held on behalf of
Beer Festival Sponsor5 are held tn the Chatity acc¥)unt temporariiy athough the Trustees are not entitled to
allocate these funds.

administration of the Club in accovtlance ￿1th the Club's ￿nstitu￿On. No fvnds raised from the public may be
used for Club ajministration.
