end user
Tring Lions Club wa8 orlglnally formed In 1972
and became a Charitable Incorporatod
Organlsallon In Decemb8r 2018. Throughout Ihl8
accounting period the Club has had a
member8hlp of 14 Indivldual8.
Tring Llons Club CIO ¢arried out fundraising
a¢livilies during Ihg year to raise funds from the
publi¢. In Gonjunclion with 89veral olheT L￿n3
Clubs In the area. we operated a second-hand
BoJk8hop In the Marlow8'8 shopplng centre In
Hemel H¢mp$loid. Durlng this aGGounling year
this was onco again the main 8oui¢o of income.
Income from the Bookshop was £12566 for this
a￿UntIng period, compared wrth £13154 for the
recedin
ear.

wa8 ra18ed through the Llong Bookshop from the

Followng the granting of CIO $latU8 in December
2018 Tnng Lions Club CIO Is nLN able lo make a
Gift Aid claim after the end of the tax ye8r on
membershlp 8ub8cnptions, and 8130 on cash
donation8 under the Gwi Ald Small Donatlons
Scheme {GASDSI. The amount claimed relatlng
lo Gfft Aid from H M Revonue & Customs th18
accounting period amounted lo £738.
Tring Lions Club CIO also made 39 8eparate
donations during the accounting pgri¢xl lo Ic¢al.
nallonal. and inlomatlonal charitles a8 well ag to
kJcal good causes. The total amount don8led thk8

using collecting bins in lo￿1 opticians. Members
colknl them regularly 8nd these are then sent to
another Llon8 Club for ¢he¢king and shipping
abroad to les¥ developed Countries for use ty
the people there. 119 Used hearing aids wern
also collected by Club membgrs for
refurbishment and recycling.
Flnally, the members of the Club caried out 2307
hour8 of service lo the local communty during

reserves. Al the end of the accounting pèriod the
amount of unrestricted funds held wa8 £8337. In
addition lo this there was another £7903 of
r8Stricted funds of whkh £4577 wa5 ring-fenced
for Youth and Sch(>Jl projects. snolher £3000 for
our sponsor8hip of the local minibus providing
communty transport, and £326 for maintenance
of the defibrillator installed by the Club in Tring
HI h Street.
