Flaming Bible Church UK North London
Trustees Annual Report for the year ended 30th September 2021
The Flaming Bible Church UK North London started the first half of 2021 whilst in lockdown and all services were being held online using Zoom technology. Even after the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions were lifted in March, the church continued to meet online for two months because of the then ongoing renovation work at the church premises.
Despite the absence of face-to-face meetings, the church had experienced a sizeable growth and outreach in its online activities. Particularly, the church enjoyed healthy attendances on Sunday service, Wednesday and Thursday prayer services and the Friday Bible studies.
To ensure continued ministry, counselling and religious education to the youths, the church organised a weekly session for the youths where the adolescents met for discussions about their Christian life and other life activities including secondary school and university experiences. After the resumption of face-to-face church meetings, the church has retained all other online activities which include youth meetings on Saturdays, prayer sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, and bible studies on Friday every week.
The church also continues to enjoy the vibrant children’s ministry where children learn bible stories and participate in church activities through singing and other activities such as painting and drawing.
Another notable achievement for the ministry is the Women’s international and inter-religious prayer meetings which are led by the church’s lead pastor’s wife and the women fellowship. These meetings occur every evening for 30 minutes and attract participants largely from Europe, Africa and the United States of America.
The church continues its support of the old people and children in the society through Age UK charity and one children’s charity through monthly direct debit donations. At the international level, the church continues to offer educational, and accommodation needs support for a child with a disabled single parent mother in the Gambia. Our goals this year include:
Growing our online presence by developing the church website
Developing marriages and youths’ counselling activities
Reaching out to the community through open day activities, community interactions, supporting communities’ charitable activities…
Growing the membership through evangelistic activities
Nurturing the educational and spiritual needs of the membership
Reverend Marrah Felix Kachimanga Lead pastor Church Secretary
