Projecls4Change IP4CI works predominantly with young people aged 11-18 in Cowgale and the
surrounding areas of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Many of the young people are living ift poverty and are
facing significant barriers to a happy and stable life. The local community has a higher than average
number of young people and 8 larger number of single parent families. This means the povety
experienced on the eslaie particularly affects the lives of children and young people. Working
together with young people we have creaied fantasllc opportunilies for their development and
responded pro.actively to the challenges of 2022-23. This has included, 5 residentials, 1 Sailing Tnp.
a Change Maker Volunteer-youlh Led mulli arts festival. A youth lèd bi-weekly Trans +non-binary
support group. Weekly Haven forest school sessions In Kenton. Two days per week Youth al Kenton
IYAKI is a project commissioned by AGtson4Children to work wilhln the local school. Crafty Cowgale
lcrafy solutions lo enviTonmenlal problems Project). Young volunteers planned a Halloween
Treasure Hunt and crfyaled a booklet by the yOLtng people about gender based violen￿. We
delivered holiday programmes and Piloted a Counselling in Nature services at Ihe request ol our
Change M8ker Volunteers.
