## **All Saints North Cave Church Charity** 

## **Trustee Report for 2023** 

**Financial Summary** The attached accounts show that total value of the charity assets has increased by £1,628.02 during the year, after last years reduction of £5,539.54. This is due to an increase in the CCLA unit price from £18.17 to £19.65 offsetting the difference between grants made and bank charges paid totalling £2,747.00 and our income of £1,180.48. It has been our policy to deliberately reduce our accumulated current account each year by making grants in excess of our income, but the balance has now reduced to £1,894.56. 

**Grants** We have continued to make donations of £500 each to local charities which fall within the purposes for which the charity is constituted. We also continue the standing order in favour of the Hull Minster Choral Scholarship scheme, to be next reviewed in 2025. The one-off donations were made to:

## **Iron Duke Sea Cadets.** 

This year an additional grant of £320.00 was made to enable one of our parishioners to pay an overdue council tax bill so that he could move to join his partner in her accommodation. 

**Future plans** Now that the current account accumulated income has been reduced by the grants given, the trustees will need to debate during 2024 whether the level of payments made in the last few years should continue, thereby eating into the capital, or whether they should be reduced to reflect only the income received. The capital would thus be maintained for unexpected or urgent need.
