Trustee Report for 2022
Financial Summary The attached accounts show that total value of the charity assets has reduced by £5,539.54, after last years gain of £3,137,83. This is due to a fall in the CCLA unit price from £20.57 to £18.17, and our total grants made of £2,360.00 plus bank charges of £63.20 exceeding our £1,458.07 income. It continues to be our policy to deliberately reduce our accumulated current account each year by making grants in excess of our income, and at the year end the balance still stands at £3,461.07. We are grateful to have received donations during the year totalling £420.00.
Grants We have continued to make donations of £500 each to local charities which fall within the purposes for which the charity is constituted. We also have the standing order in favour of the Hull Minster Choral Scholarship scheme, to be next reviewed in 2025. The one-off donations were made to:

Future plans It is our intention to again make grants during 2023 from the funds held in the HSBC current account, accumulated during the years when the charity was dormant. The bank are now charging a monthly £5 account fee, plus 40p+ for cheque handling, which eats into our annual income. It is still our intention to investigate as to whether there are any alternatives.
