Sandhursl Youth continues lo be aclivety enga9ed with other public agencies in seeking to

Schools work 4n the summer of 2021 Sandhursl Youth commenced a prograrnmè ol w
In Sandhurst Sch￿1 working w(fh the Year 7 students lo build their social skills and self
cOnf￿enCe and this wort has wntinued this year. Furthw funding was obtained from
Shanly Foundatvjn lo support Ihis The work ha5 been welcomed by the $ludeni$ and slaff

Church work - We support thè s￿r￿aY moming sass￿n IOT young people offered in St
Michael's church and In addit￿Sn our Youth Worker, Mike. has been Invo￿ad in both the
Church and Ihe dicwe in devek)ping intergeneral*)nal worjhip.
Youth club and evenl$. Th• drcp In youth dub, Dream 819, takes place nM)st Sunday
evenings and n¢)w has a sdid core attendance Periodic sp￿191 events are organised,
notably the Youth Club in the Park" a summer holiday w•8k of activities for young p•opl•,
wh￿￿ was able to take place based at the Baptist Church. In addrtion an ovemighl trip wa¥
organised on a Long Boat on Il* Grand Union Canal, kindly fvndtsd by the Community
Fosjndation for Surrey. Sandhur$i Yothh also has a presence al activities organised by
San¢Jhursl Town Council such as the firework display and Summer Fun d8y.
Mentoring - a menloiing programme based on Ihe nat￿)nalty r•¢ognised XLM prograrnme
continues wrth a nurrthr of menlors trained in ils delNery Mentees ar8 iecruited
through 811 strands of work with the intenl of giving 12 ft￿nthS support in eslabllshing thelr
longer term aspiralions and dreams. and he*ing them start on that journ¥y.
The sum of these a¢lNilies mean5 thai Sandhurst Youth. and our tireles¥ youth worker Mike, IB now
an established arKI valued part of Sondhursl lrfe.
During the yOOf the trustees have laen 8ub8tantial action to respond to concern8 raised through
o stakeholders. One concem has bèen fully resofved and the second ￿MaInS ongoing al the
year end. All aspe¢i$ have been managed so as lo Gontinug work of the Gharity with rninimum
disruplK)n.

Income has increased slightly th￿ year. The grants receiv￿ were from Sandhursl Town Council
and Sl m￿hael and All Angel¥ Church, Sandhursl together with several donati)ns from local
organi$ation$ In support of ypeCrf￿ events and actmties.
The youth club and detached work has increased. together ￿th special events in the ccrfnmunty.
This is reflected in the increase in the c05l of events. Donthons were gralefulty received from
Community Foundation for Surrey 10 cover the cost of the summer narrow boat trip and from
Wellington College to cover the cost of holiday ￿tIVitieS for the young people. Wlh thanks lo the
Shanty Foundation, there were svfficient fvnds io o￿t￿U9 WO￿ in Sandhursl School.
Expendrture has been well cMtrdlèJ over the pemd wh￿h has en8b￿d us lo employ the seNices
of se5$ion w(M*ers to assisl wf(h det￿hed work and the Youth club. Due 10 the Increasing
pressure on the charty's reputslion we have had addftional expenditur? and needed lo provide
extra sUPPOrt for our employee5. This is an ongoing situal#)n. but we are taking slep$ lo minimise
the expenditure over ltte coming year.
