## **Objectives and Activities**

success. A laptop computer was
purchased to assist with the delivery of
this project. An end of grant report
was submitted in April 2021, but the
counselling sessions continued with the

aim of completing before the end of
this year.
We were also successful in obtaining
funding from the Seedlings Foundation
for a baby massage training course for
a member of the Children’s Centre
staff. Seedlings training fund only
makes small grants towards the cost,
and they funded a grant £45.00.
However, they decided to grant a
further £200.00 from the 0-5 fund. The
full cost was made up from our own
funds. This training has now taken
place but the courses that will result
from it will not commence until the
new year.
In late summer we funded a holiday for
a needy family at Primrose Valley near
Filey. This was organised through the
Bradford Diocese who own a caravan
there.

Beer Festival is a big source of income
for us, unfortunately it has been
cancelled for the last 2 years due to

organised for March 2022 and
hopefully this can go ahead.
We were fortunate to receive a
donation of £1,000 from Councillor Pat
Latty, part of which has been used to
enhance the mental health counselling
project by providing counselling for two
additional families.
This year we had two new additions to
our ranks, a new Trustee, Pat Latty,
was appointed in November, but
resigned shortly afterwards for
personal reasons. A New Children’s
Centre Manager, Laura Harvey, was
appointed around the same time.
