to clear the garden lor the summw. outdoor actlvlty programme. The whole outdoor

We 8aw our 2f41 post-covid Camlval in 2023 was well attended and as usual. tho
Beavefs leadera outdid thernselve3 wlth the. Teddy Bearb plcnk, themed Camfvgl float,
yet agaln brlnwng hom080me 8llveTh¥ore. We had our usual games 8iallsa3wella8 our
tea tent wlth hot tood, cak08 and relre3hments all conlrlbutlng a l)oost of funds for our
group.
Our Blrthday dlnner was a masslve succes& ￿th a huge numl)ef of 8fOUP member8 In
allendance. Lon8 servlce awards were gNen to some ol our iongesi Sefvlng member5,
we really are very lucky lo have such a dedtcaied leam. Sadly, we also announced ihat
Chris {Skipl WOU￿ be giving up the role of GSL although we are reli￿e0 and Very lucky
Ih8t we still have him on the team as he has Stepped a8ide to become a3s18tant GSL.
Martln IAkel81 has taken on the role and has made a superb start. As Martin moved on
Irom Cubs to Scouts. Amystepped Into the roleol CL and Is sett￿.ng1n very well and
doing great work wlih our younger members.

Agaln. sadly. thls couldn't be marshalled ty the police as in prtrAous year3, 80 we rnibed

dedic8t8d Guide le8ders declded to have a well 8amed break after many yeafs of
seNce, We wl$h them all the very best lor their well eamed'retlr8ment'. Unfortunately,
as no new leader¥ could be recruited. Guides has now been closed down. Some ol (he
curreni Guides wlli be ioinlng Scouts to contlnue their wmoy within the Scouting
famlly.
The New Yoar saw the Scouts distrlct Trnnsfofmation. 8venlng. wlth Irustees in
attendance. While the scheme may have hit a tew speed bumps recently. this wlll no
doubt be implemented in the near tuture. with the alm ol m(Ning Scouts forward and
brlnging morè volunteer8 in io our Scouling lamily. We wlll UPd8le you when the ilmelg
