Our charity achieved its objectives in the year by assisting in sUPPOrtin8 the local health sector in
preventing delayed discharges. This was done through a variety of way.. providing cleans to make the
home safe and manageable for discharge, also reorBanisin8 furnitu￿ in their residences to make the
home more acce$5ible and to make room for mobility equipment. We are very proud of the number
of delayed discharges we have prevented by Providing our services within a very quick turnaround
period. This work will always be on going as the NHS faces issues on a day to day our service is there
to fill In the gaps for any support we can offer to families and people .
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
Our charity achieved Its objectives in the year by assisting in supporting the local health sector in
preventing delayed discharges. This was done through a variety of ways.. providin8 deep cleans to
make the home safe and mana8eable for discharge, also reorganising furnilure in their residences to
m8ke the home more accessible and to make room for mobrlity equipment. We are very proud of
the number of delayed discharges we have prevenied by providing our services within a very quick
turnaround period.
The sourcing and acquisition of Special￿ needed PPE equipment enabled our dedicated Team to
perform their work in a safe and effective manner.
We have had a 2 year contract with Local authorlty sUPPOrt them with rapid response serniee
making sure people are staying out hospital with falls and not blocking any beds this has been tOU8h
for us but we have managed with an amazin8 team 24hour service 7 days a week has made our
incoming 4 times what they were supposed to be as the local council was in urgent neeil and as we
said yes we worked very hard and achieved this providing a 5 star run service as the NHS/ local
authority was so happv

2. Over 11000 befriending calls were conducted.
3. Over 100.000 hours of outreach work wa5 conducted.
4. More than 300 people were taken for hospital appointment
5. 300 Deep clean5 were conducted in resideniial house5 and flats
6. 9000 hours of cleaning were conducted
7. 4300 hours of shopping calls were made

PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS
Our mission is to provide a social suprK)rt network people he need support and to fill in the gaps in
the local community. We are now CQC reg and working hard to get the pald work in $0 we tan

rellable and dedicated staff. The charity will also provide shopping visits for those unable to Set out

Our specialty provides delivered food parcels without vouchers only a referral is ￿quIred, the food

The charSty offers befrlending 5ervlces. personal vislts and phone calls, activities such as coffee
mornlnBs or lunch 8atherin85, craft. bakin& cooklng.
The tharity supports the local soclal care sector by provlding deep tleans or furniture removal or
reor8anizatlon of the home to enable quScker and safer dlschar¥e from hospitals or resplte care. Thls
aids In preventin8 delayed hospital discharg￿.
To maintain sustainability and continue to provide the services currently being offered. The charitv
will contlnue to also raise lunds by grants and holding events, in further support of the services that
are provided.
The above report has been prepared in accordance with the provisions opplicable to companies
subject to the small companies regime as set out in Part 15 of the Companie5 Act 2006 and in
accordance with the Charities SORP IFRS 1021.

for the year ended 31 October 2023.

responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in accorilance with the requirements of the

Having satisfied myself that the financial statements of the Charity are not required to be audited under Part
16 of the 2006 AEt and are eligible for independent examination. I report in respect of my examination of
vour charity's finaDcial statements as carried out under section 145 of the Charities Act 20111'the 2011 Act'l.
In carrying out my examination I have followed the Oirertions glven by the Charlty Commisslon under sectlon
145151 Ibl of the 2011 Act.

Basis of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities..
Statement of Recommended Practice èpplicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with
the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (effective I
January 20151 (Charities SORP IFRS 10211. the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and
Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 and the Companies Act 2006.

Recognition of
expenditure
Expenditure is recognised on an accnjals basis. Expenditure includes any VAT which
cannot be fully recovered, and is reported as part of the expenditure to which it
relates.

Stock Is included at the lower of c05t or net realisable value. Donated Stems of stock are recognSsed at falr

Trade and other debtors
Trade and other debtors are recognised at the settlement amount due after any trade discount offered.
Prepayments are valued at the amount prepaid net of any trade discounts due.
Cash and cash equlvalents
Cash and cash equivalents comprise cash at bank and on hand, demand deposits with bank5 and other
short-term highly liquid investments with original maturities of three months or less and bank overdrafts.
In the statement of financial position, bank overdrafts are shown within borrowings or current liabilities.
In the Statement of Cash Flows, cash and cash equivalents are shown net of bank overdrafts that are
repayable on demand and form an integral part of the company's cash management.
Trade and other credltors
Short term creditors are measured at the transaction price. Other creditors and provisions are recognised
where the charity has a present obligation resulting from a past event that will probably result in the
transfer of funds to a third party and the amount due to settle the obligation can be measured or
estimated reliably. Creditors and provisions are normally recognlsed at their Settlement amount after
allowing for any trade discounts due.

Research and development
ExpenditLtre on research and development is written off in the year in which it is incurred.
Foreign currenaes
Monetary assets and liabilities denominated in currencies other than the funrtional currency of the
charity are translated at the rates of exchange prevailing at the end of the reporting period.
Transactions in currencies other than the funrtional currency of the charity are recorded at the rate of
exchange on the date that the transaction occurred.
All exchange differences are are taken into account in arrivin8 at net incomelexpenditure.
Leased a55ets
Where the charity enters into a lease which entails taking substantially all the risks and rewards of
ownership of an asset, the lease is treated as a finance lease.
Leases which do not transfer substantially all the risks and reward5 of ownership to charity are classified
as operating leases.
Assets held under finance leases are Initially recognised as assets of the charity at their f3ir value at the
Inceptlon of the lease or, If lower. at the present value of the mlnlmum lease payment5. The
correspondlng liability to the lessor is Included in the balance sheet date as a finante lease obligation.
Lease payments are apportioned between finance expenses and reduction of the lease obligation $0 as to
achieve a constant rate of interest on the remaining balance of the liabllity. Flnance expenses are
recognised immediately, unless they are directly attributable to qualifying assets, in which case they are
capitalised in accordance with the charity's policy on borrowing costs.
Assets held under finance leases are depreciated in the same way as owned assets.
Operatln8 lease payments are recognised as an expense on a straight-line basis over the lease term.
In the event that lease incentives a￿ received to enter into operating leases, such incentives are
recognlsed as a liability. The aggregate benefit of incentive5 is recognised as a reduction of rental
expense on a straight-line basis.
Penslon costs
The charity operates a defined contribution plan for its employees. A defined contribution plan 15
pension plan under which the company pays fixed contributions into a separate entity. Once the
contributions have been paid the company has no further payments obli8ations. The contributions are
recognised as expenses when they fall due. Amounts not paid are shown in accruals in the balance sheet.
The assets of the plan are held separately from the company in independently administered funds.

All donated goods, facilities and services received are recognlsed wlthin incoming resources and
expenditure at an estlmate of the value to the charlty.
