Para 1.17 | Martha’s Dream’s purpose is to provide support to the vulnerable children in the village of Ekenobizi (Abia State, Nigeria) by providing the funding for an educational facility, giving free access to education for Primary School aged children in a disadvantaged condition. These conditions could be the lack of economic means to access state education; a disability; albino-ism that has made them an outcast in the Nigerian social structure; accusations of witchcraft; or any other condition that hinders, or affects the child’s ability to gain the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. At Martha’s Dream, we believe that it is a fundamental human right to have access to a high quality, free education, and this remains the number one priority for the charity. |

The main activities carried out by Martha’s Dream in the UK is to raise funds. Activities include the opening of a designated website to raise awareness of who we are and what we do. The website also carries a platform where donations can be received. A sponsored walk across Morecambe Bay proved popular and a good way of raising awareness and also funds. We also conducted fundraising evenings with themed african food and music. These funds are send is support of the educational facility and managed locally in Nigeria for the continued rental of a suitable property, provide salaries for teachers, a cleaner, and an administrator who will oversee the day to day running of Martha’s |

Para 1.20 | Since Martha’s Dream has been registered as a charity and has started providing funds to Martha’s Dream Academy, the educational facility in the village of Ekenobizi (Abia State, Nigeria) around 180 children yearly have been benefiting of free high-quality education. As a testament of the god work carried out and its impact, children at the school have not just received an education but have been consistently been achieving the highest grades in the Local Government Area. These children would have likely never been able to receive education without the work of Martha’s Dream. |
