## **Trustees’ Annual Report December 2025** 

## **Objectives and Activities** 

To advance public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of chamber music through; 

1. Commissioning and publishing of new compositions 

2. Performing and touring high quality artistic work 

3. The development of partnerships between chamber music and other art forms 

4. Development of new audiences for the art form 

5. Support to develop new/emerging talent within chamber music. 

## **Achievements and Performance** 

During the year, Cosmic focused on shaping future artistic projects and securing financial support for the upcoming tour of Dame Heccatty Weirdsister Does Macbeth (formerly Macbeth Retold). Significant progress was made in planning, collaboration, and creative development. The production is scheduled to tour across Wales in Spring 2026, with partnerships and venues currently being finalised. 

## **Financial Review** 

This year’s financial activity concentrated on fundraising for the Dame Heccatty tour. We successfully secured grants from the Leche Trust, the Ralph Vaughan Williams Foundation, Ty Cerdd, the Oakdale Trust, the Gemma Classical Music Trust and the Arts Council of Wales. These contributions provide a strong foundation for delivering the 2026 tour and continuing Cosmic’s wider artistic and collaborative aims.

## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

Cosmic Music is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) with a constituted governing document. The affairs of the charity are managed by the trustees. Apart from the first charity trustees, every trustee must be appointed for a term of three years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees.
