## **Godiva Voluntary Medical Responders (GVMR)** 

## **Trustee Annual Report (TAR) 1[st] January 2024 – 1[st] April 2025** 

Fundraising from public donations has been very challenging during this period, as such we decided to seek funding from other sources and corporate sponsorship with some success. 

This winter was the worst on record for pressures placed on emergency medical services within the UK including ambulance services. Our volunteers have worked tirelessly to deliver emergency care to patients as part of our role in responding to 999 calls for ambulance assistance. Alongside this, we delivered 10 public training events that included CPR awareness and hand-on practice. 

Despite the challenges, our team has remained resilient and continued to successfully respond to 999 calls on behalf of West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. In fact the number of responders within the group has increased.
