The Gowing Foundation fom)ed by constitijt.on dated 1 November 2018 and was wistered in England
and Wales as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation on the 30 Novemter 2018 wth charty Wistered
number 1180936.
Th8 objects of the charty shall be the advancem8nt of charilable purp)ses (8c¢ording to the law of
England & Wales) for the beneffit of the publ￿. as the trustees see fil from kn.me to time, in partt'cular but
not limrted lo. making grants to charibe$, or other organisattons or indivtduals working to advance
charitable purposes. such that communty parti¢ipab"on in healthy re¢￿tion for children and young
adults is promoted.

The Iruslees who are also the members and served the ¢harrty during the period are detailed on Page 1.
New Iruslees are appointed by the ujrrent trustees from people over 16 who have shown a keen interest
In the work of the charity and have abilitses reqUI￿d on the goveming 1x￿Y.
The board shall ￿nsiSt of at least three trustees and at18ast one of the tfusiees musl be 18 years of age
or over. When they are inducted the trustees are presented a cutrent ￿pY of the constitution and
iatest annual report and financial statements.

The Trustees are required to prepare financial slatements for each financial pervjd whlch give a true and
fair view of the state ol affairs of the Charity and of its income and expend￿re for that period. In
preparing those financial statements. the Trustees are required to.

The foundation has generaled inc>)me and awarded grarts under its form81 Grant making poly as
shown within the financial statements. The charity has been able to offer Supwrt the foll¢)wing main
charities.
. The Pl¢k•rlng Cancer Drop In COn￿- Fs a self funding registered chartty (In England and Wales}
established by a group of cancer patients and based In Tunbridge Wells. The ￿ntre acts as a hub for
anyone affected by cancer. provhjing 1nfom1at￿n. support and a ￿laxIng atrmosphere where people
can talk freely. Pabenls, carers, famity and friends are offered a wide range of free fa¢ilitr"es which
indudes complimentary therap￿ as well as advice and counselling.
. Noah's Ark Children's Hogpice is a registered charity and (x)mpany limrted by guarant￿, registered
in England and Wales. the charity helps babies. thildren and young Feople ￿th life-threatening or life-
limiting conditions, and their families, make the rnosl of every day. It offets support to those who die
young to do so in as much comfort as F•)s￿ble, SUTrounded by their family. The charty aims to
enable those they support to enjoy life as chiklren. rather than as pab"ents- as families, not Just as
carers.

The results for the charlty for the financial year are delailed on pages 5 to 7.
Covid-19 and Going Concorn
The Covid-19 Pandemic and following economic crisis continues to have an effect on the public benefll
of the charity in terms of the ineome Df the charity but this is still only expected lo be temporary. The
charity moved more lo making donations to registered charities as a result ol the restricted siK)rting
activities of individuals.11 is still hard lor those lo move forward but as recovery contlnues we expect
sports also to recover p8rbcipation and involvement.
Public beneflt
The trustee8 consider that tho objectives and aCtiV￿e$ of the charity are in accordance with the Charity
Commissions, general guidance on public benefiL The details of public b8nefit are covered within other
areas of this r8POrt especialty under the heading of 'Achievernents. perfomiance and developments..
Tho foundation makes grants to charities. or other organisations working to advance charitsble
purpos8s, which gives benefrt to 8veryone regardl8ss of ags, ability, cregd or ethnic origin.
Risk assgssmgnt
The Iruslees have considered the major risks to which the charfty Is exposed and consider that th08e
risks have currently been negligible. When the tharity makes investments then il will need to re-address
those risks and ensure that suitable mixe8 8re used and assets are covered by adequate insurance.
The trustees do have a grant making policy which incorporates ensuring that the institutions to which
grants are made are suitsble and charitable in their own art'vib'es. The trustees have a policy to avoid
direct Individual contact with vulner8Ne persons and any contact would be parents, coach8s or
teachers present.
