Its declared intent is to provide assistance to those within the LGBTQ+ community who need help, providing either direct assistance or via a series of charity partners. AMF is managed on a day-to day basis by its Trustees. Additional Trustees may be recruited if the existing Trustees consider that it is necessary or desirable for AMF to benefit from any relevant skills or experience that they may provide. AMF has distributed around £159,000 to various charitable organisations, the largest donation being £15,000, the smallest £300. AMF is 100% funded from donations received and from events run at a profit.
