CITY OF HULL STREET ANGELS
ANNUAL REPORT- YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 2025
The City of Hull Street Angels have remained a constant support to the night-time economy of Hull throughout the past year. Through the generosity of donors, dedication, and commitment of our volunteers we have maintained our high profile in the city centre. We have had teams out most weekends and our presence is so appreciated by the local pubs and entertainment venues. Our support is welcomed by both the Police and Ambulance services, often our help has avoided unnecessary use of their time and services.
Volunteers remain at the heart of everything we do. During 2025 our volunteers – trustees and those that go out on patrol have contributed many hours supporting individuals in need, fundraising and providing administrative assistance. Their dedication has helped us reach out to many people who often don’t know about us. We have tried to increase our online presence with more content on social media to raise awareness and hopefully attract more volunteers. This is an ongoing project which will hopefully see our numbers increase. As with any organisation you win some, you lose some. We do however have a steady cohort of volunteers and continue to get requests to come out with us on ‘shadow shifts’ to see if we are what potential new volunteers are looking for. We extend our gratitude to every volunteer who has supported our organisation this year.
We attended the Hull BID Awards and the Time to Volunteer Awards ceremonies at the Double Tree Hilton.
We continue to support our volunteers with regular social events as a thank you for their efforts.
Financial support this year has been from Help4Health, J.F. Brignall Trust, Matthew Good Foundation and NISA. We have also to express our thanks to Michele Ditchburn for her generous donations – she is truly an amazing lady and a supporter of several Hull charities.
We have invested in training this year and have organised full day 1[st] Aid training with ongoing commitment to further courses as and when time permits. We have also joined with the Skills Network to provide various training courses for volunteers.
