KINGS LYNN LIONS CLUB- CIO 1180856 TRUSTEES MEETING 12th JUNE 2025 Present: John Groom- Chairman Margaret Groom Andrew Clark It has been a year when we lost one of our long standing members. She was always happy to help and is greatly missed. A donation was made to Water Aid in her memory. Another resigned as he is now in a Care Home.in Surrey. Another passed away. The family nominated the club as a recipient of any donations. We made a donation on behalf the club, but it appeared to be the only one as we have not been advised differently by either the family or the undertakers. We were contacted by a couple who lived on the royal estate to ask that we move their summer house. We did so willingly, and they generously made us a donation of £200. Norton Hill was a resounding success and together with the Gift Aid claimed by the Treasurer, the total made was £9,375 which was phenomenal. It was decided to no longer accept unwanted spectacles as we no longer had anywhere to store them. Certificates of Appreciation were handed to the Opticians who had supported us. Lion President Margaret Groom laid a wreath on behalf of the Club on Remembrance Day. Fawkes in the Walks was cancelled by the Council due to bad weather. One of our members was Father Christmas at one of the stores in town and collected £127.64. Fun Day in June was not a success. The weather was against us, as was the fact that there were a lot of other events in the town. Donations of £5,700 were made to eleven charities in the town, of which we are very proud.

All income and expenditure is agreed by all the members at each club meeting. Agreed and signed evor John Groom Chairman of the Trustees sh December 2025
