|Guernsey<br>Mencap LBG. The charity aims to provide training,<br>employment<br>and occupation<br>for people|
|with learning<br>disabilities.<br>The main source oftheir income is obtained<br>from the sale of plants and|
|produce, a garden maintenance<br>service and the refurbishment<br>ofgarden<br>furniture.<br>They also rely|
|heavily on donations<br>to support the ever increasing<br>cost of running<br>the GROW operation,<br>and to|
|ensure that their service users have the very best working<br>environment.|
|. StJohn Guernsey<br>- is a charity registered<br>in Guernsey<br>with the object ofthe organisation,<br>training|
|and equipment<br>ofmen, women<br>and young persons to undertake<br>on a voluntary<br>basis, either as|
|individuals<br>or as organised<br>groups,<br>first aid, caring and allied activities,<br>in the streets, public places|
|or elsewhere as occasion may require for the relief, transport,<br>comfort orwelfare ofthose<br>in need.|
|They work in accordance<br>with St.John Ambulance<br>General Regulations.|
|. Guernsey<br>Welfare Service - is a Christian<br>Charity supported<br>by many denominations<br>ofchurch on|
|the island<br>including<br>Baptist, Church of England,<br>Methodist,<br>New Frontiers,<br>Catholics and Salvation|
|Army<br>in both practical and prayerful<br>ways.<br>It is registered<br>in Guernsey.<br>The charity works with a|
|variety ofpeople who find themselves<br>in financial need, including<br>single-parent<br>families, pensioners,|
|people with disabilities<br>or long-term<br>medical conditions<br>and families on low incomes who may find|
|themselves<br>with unexpected<br>medical or household<br>bills that put them<br>in financial<br>difficulty.|
|. English National<br>Opera - is a charity registered<br>in England<br>and Wales which produces<br>and<br>presents<br>opera and intends to develop and extend audiences<br>for opera and understanding<br>ofthe|
|lyric arts in London and throughout<br>the country.|
|Bright Beginnings<br>Children's<br>Centre - is a part of Every Child Our Future LBGa charity registered<br>in Guernsey.<br>The centre offers a combination<br>offree and paid for services for 51weeks ofthe year|
|excluding<br>bank holidays,<br>operating<br>as part ofthe local Guernsey<br>charity,<br>Every Child Our Future.<br>They are working to the 1001 Critical Days Agenda,<br>which emphasises<br>the central importance<br>ofa<br>child's relationship<br>with its parents<br>and caregivers<br>and the main focus of all oftheir work is on this|
|relationship.<br>The 1001 Critical Days Agenda forms part ofthe Children<br>and Young People's Plan for|
|Guernsey<br>and Alderney.<br>The Centre's<br>aim is for every child to have at least one secure attachment<br>relationship<br>by age 2. They will achieve this by supporting<br>parents to be the best they can be.|
|Willow Foundation<br>- is a charity registered<br>in England<br>and Wales which supports<br>seriously<br>ill|
|people aged between 16to 40 years old, throughout<br>the UK to get more out of life by providing<br>unique<br>and positive Special Days. For some, it gives a positive focus away from diagnosis<br>and|
|treatment<br>and may be a final chance to create lasting memories.<br>For others,<br>it marks recovery from a|
|serious illness, boosting confidence<br>and providing<br>motivation<br>to move forward<br>with their lives.|
