OBJECTS

The objects of the charity are to, by the provision of grants, preserve and protect good health, advance education, advance religion and other charitable purposes for the benefits, primarily but not exclusively, of the inhabitants of the parish of Christian Malford.

The trustees present their report and accounts, for charitable incorporated organisation, for the period ended 31 July 2025.

1. Legal and administrative

The full name of "the Charity" is Christian Malford Scarecrow Trail. It is a charitable incorporated organisation governed by a foundation constitution dated 23 November 2018.

2. Aims and organisation, review of progress and developments

The charity ran one event in the year. The event was held at the end of March 2025 and was well attended, however foot fall was down on the previous year. It was good to see that the community continued to welcome the event which raised money to be granted to community projects.

There were receipts of £9,874 in the period (2024 : £9,874). The net income, before grants, was £6,542 (2024: £6,924).

The charity made grants to Fat Boys Charity (£685) to provide supoort for children with cancer and other life limiting illnesses, Village Hall (£3,122) to cover expenses relating to repairs to the ageing building, Friends of Acorns Pre-school (£1,561) for play equipment, and Friends of Christian Malford Primary School (£1,561) for outdoor play equipment .

3. Review of financial position

The charity holds cash of £200 (2024: £589) as unrestricted funds. The funds will provide working capital for the Scarecrow Trail in 2026. The charity has sufficient funds to meet its obligations for the foreseeable future.
