The objects of the charity are to, by the provision of grants, preserve and protect good health, advance education, advance religion and other charitable purposes for the benefits, primarily but not exclusively, of the inhabitants of the parish of Christian Malford.

The trustees present their report and accounts, for charitable incorporated organisation, for the period ended 31 July 2023.
## **1. Legal and administrative**
The full name of "the Charity" is Christian Malford Scarecrow Trail. It is a charitable incorporated organisation governed by a foundation constitution dated 23 November 2018.
## **2. Aims and organisation, review of progress and developments**
The charity ran one event in the year. The event was held at the end of March 2023 and was very well attended. It was good to see that the community continued to welcome the event which raised money to be granted to community projects. Grant applications have been received and grants were made in January 2024.
There were receipts of £7,892 in the period (2022 : £6,145). The net income, before grants, was £5,388 (2022: £4,249).
The charity made grants to Wiltshire Air Ambulance (£625) to provide ambulance support across Wiltshire, Village Hall (£625) for an environmental survey, Friends of Acorns Pre-school (£1,875) for outdoor equipment and Friends of Christian Malford Primary School (£905) for outdoor equipment and storage .
## **3. Review of financial position**
The charity holds cash of £6,658 (2022: £5,300) as unrestricted funds. The funds will provide working capital for the Scarecrow trail in 2023 and will be used for grants for community projects. The charity has sufficient funds to meet its obligations for the foreseeable future.
