FINANCIAL REVIEW
During the period under review, the charity received unrestricted income of £352,450 (2019: £267,500) and had an expenditure of £333,585 (2019: £140,108). At the balance sheet date the charity held unrestricted funds of £146,257 (2019: £127,392).
It is the policy of the charity that unrestricted funds which have not been designated for a specific use should be maintained at a level equivalent to between three and six month's running costs. The trustees consider that reserves at this level will ensure that, in the event of a significant drop in funding, they will be able to continue the charity's current activities while consideration is given to ways in which additional funds may be raised. The trustees consider the reserves policy to be adequate having considered the impact of COVID-19. Donations are raised through contacts the trustees have with potential donors.
PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS
In 2021 we have pledged to continue quarterly donations of £3,000 towards the Refugee resettlement program and £7,500 for Iraqi Widows & Orphans.
We continue to support activities mentioned above with their ongoing deserving works being carried out. We will also happily support any other worthy charities that apply to our Charity for aid.
