TIM": LOVE PORTSMOUTH- JESUS ANNUAL REPORT 2020-2021 LOVEPORTSMOUTH JESUS CHRISTIAN EVANGELISTIC GRANTS # **MISSION STATEMENT Love Portsmouth-Jesus funds Christian initiatives in and around Portsmouth – Helping the Church communicate the Love of God** ## About Us… Love Portsmouth-Jesus is a Christian independent grant making charity, specifically focussed on Christian outreach projects in the Portsmouth area in 2019 A team of Three Trustees and an Administrator was formed to run the charity. Following several pilot projects the charity commenced issuing grants in April 2019 ## What we achieved in the last year Due to the outbreak of Corona 19 virus, Love PortsmouthJesus we have had a very quiet year although, we have continued to help wherever we could. The JustOne Portsmouth Event due to take place in April 2020 was unfortunately postponed and we await details of when this event will take place. ## **JUSTONE PORTSMOUTH** - In November 2019 LP-J accepted and released £10,000 the requested funds from JustOne Portsmouth to contribute towards a two-day event in April 2020 at Portsmouth Guildhall. The event, supported by The Philo Trust and several churches, planned to build unity in churches City wide. The idea of JustOne was for Christians to invite someone along to experience the Word of God. The ticket sells exceeded expectation and the capacity to reach 3,800 over both evenings was deemed a success. Unfortunately, due to the outbreak of the Corona Virus this event was cancelled and has been postponed for a later date. LP-J were hoping to widely promote our services at this event, to as many church leaders and community organisations as possible. We await details on the way forward. ## Information on Projects Agreed ## **PRAY UP POMPEY** - November 2020 LP-J accepted a request from House of Prayer and OneBody to released funds in December 2020 to assist in the setting up of the Project Pray Up Pompey. - The Pray Up Pompey Project planned to invite every Church and every Christian in the City to be involved by Prayer Walking over the 1,000 streets in Portsmouth thus blanketing the City in Prayer. Our contribution helped to fnance this project by adapting an app used by Open Heaven Coventry and various other costs that are involved in this project. This project was agreed and awarded the sum of £4,000. The project is very successful and ongoing. ## **GROWTH** Love Portsmouth-Jesus (LP-J) wants to see a multiplication of finances which is then released to meet the physical and spiritual needs of people in Portsmouth; through effective Christian Outreach. LP-J has positively responded to x5 since April 2019. In November 2019 we appointed a new Administrator who will endeavour to re-establish contacts with churches and promote LP-J by publicising the Charity and inform people what we do and how we might help in Christian Outreach Projects in and around the Portsmouth Area. LP-J was still in its early stages when Covid 19 began Feb 2020 and has continued to reach out and keep contact with its followers on Social Media. We are planning on resuming the distribution of our information leaflet/brochure to many churches and organisations. ## **THE WAY FORWARD** Due to Covid 19 and the way we were unable to work, our way forward remains very much the same as last year. Our objectives for the coming year is to promote and publicise to the many organisation that may benefit from Love Portsmouth – Jesus (LP-J). This will primarily be through the use of Social Media, Promotional Leaflets, Personal Presentations and Word of Mouth.
