About Us

a2z Renewable Development Trust is an organisation which aims to encourage communities, young people and families about the importance of sustainability and implementing renewable forms of energy and basic life skills. We aim to inspire, and empower the youths to create positive change in their lives, and the communities they live in. Our program will engage the communities, schools, organizations, peer groups, and families in a productive and constructive manner.

At a2zrdt our vision is to empower young people and families in the community from an early stage to guide them so they can reach their full potential with the aid of using, STEM and Renewable energy technology.

Our Mission

Our grand mission is to connect young people with opportunities and transform their lives. We will lead the younger generation by training them about sustainable development, harnessing our energy in a more efficient. We also aim to build partnership and projects which empower women, families and parents.

Integrating an early intervention to young people, some of the advantages are avoiding circumstance, such as our youths been idle, joining gangs, knife crime and early pregnancies, becoming a nuisance or problem to the society.

In setting out and planning projects, programs and activities for our local communities, the trustees have used and implemented the general guidelines published by the Charity commission relating to the Public benefit of the Charities Act 2011.

The Charity’s principal activities, achievements, and performance are summarised below:

Objectives and Activities:

Our main achievements is to connect with excluded / disadvantage young people with opportunities and transforming their lives. Some of our objectives and activities we accomplished was:

Activities aims:

To introduce children to the basics of cooking and healthy eating habits. To help children develop an appreciation for different flavours and cuisines. To teach children how to safely handle cooking tools and equipment. To encourage creativity and experimentation in the kitchen.

To promote teamwork and social skills through group cooking activities.

Objectives:

To teach children how to measure ingredients accurately.

To show children how to follow recipes and cooking instructions.

To introduce children to a variety of cooking techniques such as, baking, and hot meals.

To educate children on the nutritional value of different foods, the importance of a balanced diet.

To foster independence and confidence in the kitchen.

Volunteers

We are extremely proud of our volunteers, they contributed their unique talents and perspective to the cooking classes, in making sure all participating children, young adult, parents and guardians engaged and involved with all projects carried out, such as:

  1. Assisting with preparation: Our volunteers helped with prepping ingredients, setting up equipment, and organizing the kitchen before the class begins. This saved time and ensured that the class ran smoothly.

  2. Providing supervision: Our volunteers helped supervise children while they were using kitchen equipment and tools to ensure that they are being used safely and appropriately.

  3. Offering support: Volunteers provided encouragement and support to the children as they learnt new skills and tried new foods.

  4. Cleaning up: Volunteers assisted with cleaning up the kitchen after the class has ended, including washing dishes and putting away equipment.

Overall, our volunteers played an essential role in making cooking classes for kids successful by providing their time, skills, and enthusiasm for cooking.

Our Strategic Goals

In 2022/2023, we aim to achieve 2 key strategic goals, which include:
