Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 The Fen has been grazed at the correct
times in line with the SSSI and Natural
England requirements. This has meant
that invasive weeds have been kept to a
minimum allowing rarer flora to flourish.
Insects and wildlife have also benefitted.
Regular inspections have also been
carried out to monitor fencing, the natural
springs and the general condition of the
Fen. No major problems were found
other than minor fence repairs, which
have been carried out.
The charity is in the process or setting up
a website to make information and
photographs of the Fen available for
viewing. It has also provided grants to
the village cricket club, and for four
flower planters to enhance the village’s
appearance.
The charity is open, through the parish
council, schools and local groups, to
provide grants for other projects that
benefit the community.
