   - The charity was affected by the Covid19 pandemic and the Trustees considered the risks associated with this and the accompanying Government guidance and legislation. As a result, public fundraising initiatives were suspended and pupil tuition was severely curtailed due to the restrictions on contact.

   - Compliance was sustained through internet Zoom meetings and email.

   - Relationships were sustained with three major delivery partners :

      - Northwick Park Primary Academy

      - Essex Vocal Coaching

      - BOSP (Bright Opportunities for Special People)

requirement. The principal criteria applied is that beneficiaries demonstrate that without support from the charity that their personal, medical, social or financial circumstances would prevent them participating in, and developing ability, in music.

Despite the restrictions caused by the pandemic our partner organisations were able to deliver activities on our behalf.

- BOSP continued its Music Therapy sessions for children with severe impairment and their families. This provides regular sessions for the children to enjoy making music and also to enable a degree of respite care for the families.

- EVC have continued with musical tuition despite significant restrictions and enabled between 8 to 10 young people to receive tuition.

## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)**

You **may choose** to include further statements, where relevant, about:

- policy on grantmaking;

- policy programme related investment;

- contribution made by  volunteers.

## Section D Achievements and performance

With the restrictions imposed in England causing significant **Summary of the main** challenges the charity has relied heavily on individuals to **achievements of the** continue supporting the charity in innovative ways to **charity during the year** supplement its regular supporters. The continued regular donations from Ewan’s grandmothers Mrs V. Lane and Mrs. J Spittle plus those of Andrew Manton were augmented by funds raised from supporters through social occasions and designated donations e.g., BBQ’s, Xmas cards, snack sales. EVC continued its partnership by also raising funds through collections at performances once restrictions were lifted. The major donation for the year came from Westcliff High School for Boys who despite Covid reducing their activities still raised over £6000 for the charity. The significant other activity during the year saw Ewan’s mother, Emma, embark on a challenge to run 100 x 5kms from 1/1/21 to 26/9/21 (Ewan’s birthday) from the starting position of a non-runner. An amazing achievement that concluded with a mass run/walk of over 100 people on Canvey Island. The results of the fundraising were significant and will be recorded in next year's accounts.
