During this period the FIFerFds of Gladstone Park have supported Ihese obiedtves Kfjth Ihe
adiiities below. Most adivities during this period have continued to be Iwrtailed or cancelleé
due to Covid restridions but as most of our actmties are outside we have been fortunate
enough to continue in a limited capacity.

The Friends of Gladstone Park also Org￿lse a weekty Garrlening (>oup ￿nsiSting of
regular volunteers vtho undertake various tasks lo maintain and iffiprove the park- in
particular the walled garden and the wse area. This working wp continued thfoughout
although vith social diS￿clng beNig obser¥Ed. and any common I￿S being sanitised
before and after use.

Achievements and Perfomiance
All Frlends of Gladstone Park actlvltles have an underfylng purpose of encourdglng
people Into the park to enloy and benefrt from thig beautiful publlc space.
The Gardening Group conlinued to maintain Ihe Walled G¥den in Gladstone Park along
V4ith the formal rose beds outside (now refreshed V￿lti the roses purthased by FOGP).
In addition to the Waled Garden, beds around the upper terrace adjacent to the Walled
Garden were maintained, as well as the beds around vhjat was Ihe bovAing green.
Wth ￿n￿ased time avalable Trom the y￿￿teers. FOGP improved the deadthedging
around the copse to help discourage some of the anti-soraal acliNryties in this area. and
seeded wldfiower area5 fems to e￿h￿ce the copse and In￿eaSe bi0dlve￿ty.
Towards the end of thi5 pefiod, members of FOGP and the G*dening Group began to get
involved with the Big Cty Buttertlies wopct.
All fundraislng coffee momings, table days elo remalned cancemed, as caution was still
8dvi6ed even *fien lockdowns were lifted. In order lo get some income, the Gardening
Group sets out a ￿ckel fi￿ donations vkndst vthing and this has meant we (2n wver cost

Financial Review
At the end of this period we have £921.07 in the aCc￿￿t, *thich is a healthy amounl f(￿ us
and a tribute to the generous users of Gladstone Park vtho drop donations into our bucket.
Only a small amount remains ring-fenced - for bluebell5.
The tharity does not hold reserves as Ihere are no regular 0￿goingS over and above the
annual public liability insurance wemium.

There were donations from Waitrose. Amazon Smile. EasyFundraising and Thomson Reuters. We
also had income from general donations and money given durirq the various events that did manag
togo ahead.

Structure, Governance and Management
The Friends of Gladstone park is conslibjted as a CIO. govemed by a govemed by a
constitiution based on the Foundation Constitution do(JJment wovided by the Charities
Commisson.
Under the CAtrrent conslitution, new trustees are appoinied by a vote at a propetty Ixganlsed
meeting of the r￿rrent trustees.

## **Friends of Gladstone Park Account** 

Balance at 1[st] November 2020: **£632.45** 

## **Outgoings : £990.61** 

- Public Liability Insurance 

- Website and email costs 

- Plants for the park. Mostly for the Walled Garden, but also for the beds we are beginning to refurbish outside the Stables cafe and in front of the toilet. 

## **Income : £1,279.23** 

- Donations from Waitrose amounted to £167.00 

- Donations from Amazon Smile amounted to £23.92 

- We received our first donations from EasyFundraising, amounting to £45.01 

- During this period we had a volunteer employed by Thomson Reuters who operated a scheme paying for their volunteering hours to the organisation concerned. We received $500.00 (£356.30) this way. 

- Most of the rest was down to  general donations in the bucket left out while the gardening group is working or given to us during organised Letter Picks in the park.
