Kingsdown Land Trust Annual Report 2024-2025
(Reg. Number 1180482)
12th January 2026
We had the most amazing display of pyramidal orchids over the spring/summer of 2025 which shows that the regular cutting back is having the desired effect. Once they had gone to seed in the autumn, the site was cut back. This was carried out, once again, with the kind assistance of the Kent Wildlife Trust warden and volunteers.
We were joined by Ben Palmer, who has volunteered to become a trustee. Ben grew up in Kingsdown and so itโs brilliant to welcome Ben back to help look after the site.
This year we plan to do an early summer cut which will hopefully stop the more invasive species from taking hold over the spring/summer, giving space for the wild flowers to thrive.
We will continue with annual cutting of regrowth and monitor of progress. The advice and assistance of the local Kent Wildlife team has been invaluable and we hope to continue working with them in the future.
The Trust has not accumulated any funds during this financial year and there has been no expenditure.
