Kingsdown Land Trust Annual Report 2022-2023
(Reg. Number 1180482)
21[st] January 2024
Once again the Kent Wildlife Trust warden and twelve volunteers spent a day in March helping the trustees to cut back regrowth. This made way for a good show of wildflowers over the spring and summer months.
Some minor fence repairs were undertaken to maintain the boundary and a small ash tree which was blown over was cut and piled up to create a habitat for insects and small mammals.
In November the regrowth was cut, again with the assistance of Kent Wildlife Trust volunteers working alongside the trustees.
We will continue with the bi-annual cutting of regrowth, which should keep the more invasive species at bay, while allowing sunlight to the ground to promote wildflowers to thrive.
The Trust has not accumulated any funds during this financial year and there has been no expenditure.
