It is a Charitable Incorporated Organis2tion which wag firgt intorporatèd on 25 Ortober 2018 under the Charrties Act 2011. 2. The charity registration number is 1180440 and the HMRC charities reference number 15 EW97383. 3. The chariivs public address is Winterfold, The Level. Ditti5ham, Dartmouth TQ6 OES. 4. The charivs trustees at the date of this report are Johnny Moulsdale, Sune Nlghtlngale, Graham Andern, Jackie Kerslake and Sophia Heseltine. 5. The charity is govemed by a Constitution which is dated 24 October 2018 and is available on the chariV5 website. 6. The object of the charity is to further such charitable purposes under the law5 of England and Wales in the Parish of Dittisham as the Trustees in their discretion think fit by making grants to support the provision or malntenance of public facilities not normally provided by the statutory authorities. 7. Dlttlsham Parish Council may appoint a maximum of two charity trustee5. Up to three further trustees may be elected by the inhabitants of the Parish of Dittisham. 8. The trustees have complied with the duty in the Charities Act 2011 to have due regards to guidance on public benefit published by the Charity Commission in exercising their duties. 9. The charity Is currently holding a level of reserves in cash and investments that the trustees Intend to build up to enable a fund to be created whlch wlll enable an enduring income stream to be generated for charitable purposes within the parish.
Chairman's report This is the second annual report of the Charity which was fomied in 2018 to aSSiSt with the provision of fund-raising for various projects within the Parish of Dittisham. The initial publicity from the launch resulted in some generous donations from residents, over and above that reqL¢ired for the initial projects. and as a result we have funds avallable at 31 March 2021 of some £62,CX)O which are generating an income of approximate £1,51XI per annum. Since 31 March 2020 our artivities have been curtailed by the pandemic. Also we have not been actively seeking further donations as we did not wish to dampen enthusiasm for the other two charities in the village both of which were in the midst of major fundraising campaigns.. St George's Church and the Village Hall. Nevertheless we have been assisting Sustainable Dittisham to raise funds for some of their projects In relation to habitat creation and have held further discussions about how to help some of their other ideas. We also made a donation to the Village Hall upgrade project as well as supporting the Ditsum Quiz and other local entities by paying for a Zoom subscription. Recently we organised an Apple Day in the village to encourage parishioners to bring their apples for pressing into juice which was a great success. We remain available as a source of funds for any projects that will assist or improve the Parish of any size or nature as well as being a vehicle for your own fund-raising efforts in a tax efficient way. As we start to see a light at the end of this pandemic please contact us wrth any ideas or proposals for funding. l am grateful to Sophia Heseltine and Jackie Kerslake for agreeing to join us as trustees during the year and forthe contributions from all the trustees over thè last year.
