The Trustees present their annual report together with the financial statements of Holme Valley
Lions Club Charitable Incorporated Oiganisation (the Charity) for the 12-month period ending 30th
June 2024. The Club was incorporated as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation on 25th October
2018. The Trustees confirm that the Annual Report and financial statements of the Charity
comply with the current statutory requirements. the requirements of the Charity's governing
document and the provisions of the Statement of Recommended Pracbce (SORP} "Accounting and
Reporting by Charities" issued in March 2015.
The Constitution stipulates that the Tninimum number of trustees shall be three and the
maximum twelve. The President, Secretary and Treasurer are all mandatory trustees.
Any member taking up those posts must be trustee. The process for the appointment of
trustees is stipulated in the Constitution. A'Trustees' meeting is held when required, and
in any case every months. This meeting manages the governan￿ of the club as set
out under the Charitable Incorporated Organisation Constitution.
The Charity's Insuran￿ requirements are covered under Lions Clubs International
Multiple District 105 Insuran￿ arrangements.

The trustees confirm they have complied wrth the duty in section 4 of the Chartties Act
2006 to have due regard to the Charity Commission's general guidance on public
benefit 'Charities and Public Benefft,. This year the CIO have continued to provide
public benefrt, and we will explain how this has t)een achieved in this report.
The club operates one bank account and operates fund accounting. All the administration
expenses of the CIO are dealt wrth through the 'Administration Fund, the balance of which does
not include any money raised from members of the public. The trustees can confirm that the
CIO does not have any outstanding liabilib'es or debts.
The CIO has a grant making policy. all applications are considered by the trustees al
their meetings. The trustees then make recommendations which are considered by all
the members of the CIO. The procedure for this process is outlined within the
constitution.
In this 12-month period the dub has had total incorne of £14.616
During the full year, the major income has comefrom the Santa Sleigh (£2506), and the
monthly draw (£463), an easter raffle (£3384), a quiz (£1041) and a grant (Kirklees)
(£3400).
The club donated £635.60 to Lions Clubs International Charthes during the full year.

The club have made further charitsble donations of £7250 in the full year induding £500 to
Talkthru, £300 to Summer Wine Trails, £3000 to local foodbanks (mainly from grants received)
£3000 to the Forget me Not Trust and £450 to various other local organisations and events
These donations are making a difference within our local wmmunity.
Membership of the CIO at the end of June 2023 was 13 members including 2
Lions at Large. Members meet On￿ per month and take part in the social and
fundraising activities of the CIO.
During the year the club continued to work with others in their local community, not
only to support their community but to encourage them to become members of
Holme Valley Lions Club.
