Introduction:
Over the financial year 2024/ 2025, Marlow Refugee Action (MRA) continued to give grants to charities focused on providing aid to refugees in the UK. The year was started on 1[st] October 2024 with an account of £7,590.39 and ended on 30[th] September 2025, with an account of £9,299.89.
Activities:
This year MRA continued to work towards handover to Wycombe Refugee Partnership (WRP) and closure.

We met several times with WRP Trustees to see how some continuity could be built

Handover meeting was held on 22 March at All Saints Church Hall (pro bono) to reflect on what the MRA, friends/donors have jointly accomplished on the journey so far. At this meeting, members of WRP and some trustees and volunteers were also present and spoke about their work and the continuation of the joint purpose of refugees in our area.

We maintained some grants to our UK partners:

a. Mamasuze to support their efforts in Hackney (£1500)

b. WRP to provide funds for the Mums’ afternoon tea events (£650). This money was raised thanks to the generous donation from the BBO Jazz band in January 2025
Conclusion: The need to close down the charity and transfer activities to WRP was clear for all. The charity will aim to close officially as soon as the paperwork can be completed.
