Para 1.17 | The purpose of the Bury Faith Forum is the promotion of religious harmony for the benefit of the public through: educating the public in different religious beliefs including to promote good relations between persons of different faiths; promoting knowledge, mutual understanding and respect of the beliefs and practices of different religious faiths; providing a range of interfaith activities for people in Bury to enable them to interact with people of different religious faiths and better understand their communities; and providing technical advice to government and others on faith matters. |

Bury Faith Forum have undertaken a number of activities for the benefit of the public including two multi-faith events held for primary and secondary schools which had the aim of increasing understanding around different faith groups and promoting acceptance. As well as this, Bury Faith Forum has also ran a Faith in Remembrance event and taken part in other events such as a Light and Hope Event as part of Bury’s Towns of Culture programme, a Passover event and an interfaith Mayor’s Breakfast. In regards to the accounts, there have been no activities that have taken place this year and the figure that is outgoing for this year is a late payment for a virtual event which took place during the last reporting period. |

Para 1.20 | There have been many achievements of the charity and all of these link into the objective of the Bury Faith Forum as outlined in its constitution. One such achievement is an increased awareness of different religious beliefs and the promotion of good relations between people of different faith through different faith working together to put on a variety of events outlined above. As well as this, these events also raised awareness of different religions, not just within those that worked together to put on the events, but also the other organisations that attended these events including community members and primary and secondary school pupils. As well as this, and as stated in the last report, the forum continues to work closely with the local council to ensure there is a robust response to Covid-19 and a steady uptake of vaccines within each respective faith group. |
