Financial Review

The detailed financial position of the Club is shown in the Financial Statements. The Trustees consider the finances of the Club to be satisfactory.

The Club operates three main Bank Accounts. The Activities Account is the main account for the receipts from fund-raising Activities and the payment of directly related expenses. The Charity Account is used to receive direct donations and transfers of surpluses arising in the Activities Account from time to time. The Charity Account is used solely to fund Charitable Donations being made - as authorized by the Club Members in general meeting. The Administration Account is used for the receipt of Membership Subscriptions and payment of Expenses associated with the running of the Club itself. The use of the separate Club Administration Account means that all monies raised through Activities can be used directly for the good causes the Club wishes to support.

Investment Powers and Reserves Policy

The Club has power to leave any monies on Deposit in a Bank Account which the Trustees consider it appropriate so to deposit.

The Club will carry forward the existing surpluses into the 2024-2025 Financial Year.

The Club's performance during the year

The Club received regular designated donations from it's supporters.

These funds were used by the Club in making Donations towards local charitable causes, contributions made in support of appeals managed through. Lions District. National and International causes.

Our main charitable activities this year was the collection and distribution of food to families in need, and will continue into the following years as long as the need is there. We supported Poppy Appeal, other appeals including Youth Trust, and Stoves for Ukraine. Children with disabilities taken to Marwell Zoo for a lovely day out. The 6 fruit trees previously planted in the garden of a Care Home to celebrate The Queen's Jubilee are healthy.

The Trustees wish to record their sincere thanks to everyone who has organized, helped or supported us in this effort.

By order of the Trustees
