The trustees present their report and the financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2024.
Objectives and Activities

The objectlves of the CIO are..
l. The prevention of poverty of financial hardship anywhere in the worfd, in particular but not exclusively by providing or
assisting in the provision of education, training, health care projects and other facilities and support designed to enable
Individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient,. and,
2. For the public benefit to advance the education of children and young people who are socially and econornically or just
socially disadvantaged in particular but not exclusively in Kenya, in such way as the diversity trustee, think fit.
STRUCTURE. GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Governing document
The charity Is controlled by its governing document. a constitution in respect to CIO'S.
Significant Activities
The CIO raises money predominantly through donatlons from bu5inesse5 and individua15. Di5tribution5 are Diade to
charitable projects, and the charity also pmvides resources and Information direct to institutions intended for the benefit of
the projects.
Publlc Beneflt
The irustees revlew the oblerts and activities at least once each year to look ar what has been achieved. Reference is made
to the guidance in the Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefit when reviewing objectives and planning
futu￿ attivities. In particular the trustees consider how planned activities will contribute to the objectives set.
The trustees confirm that they have cotnplied with the requi￿rnents of Section 17 of the Charitie5 Act 2011 to have due
regard to the Charity Commisslon's guidance on public beneflt.
Achievements and Performance
Main Achievements
An increase In donations for the year saw the charity turnover amount to £42,069. Of which, the charity rnade outward
donatlOnS totalling £36,729 to further 5UPPOrt projects in the Kenya region.

Financial Posltion
The principal source of funding during the year was donations from individuals and businesses.
The receipts and payrnents account shows a deficit of £3,474 for the year. The receipts and pay￿entS 5urplu5 account tota15
£5,214 at the end of the year, and will be carried forward to be used In future years.
The three trustees operate on a IOOts/o voluntary basis and receive no remuneration or benefits from the charity.
The trustees thernselve5 donate Sufficient fund5 every year to cover any costs which pritnarily relate to Vi51tS to the schools
to see the Individual sponsored students.

Reserves Policy
Surplu5 funds at the year end which have not been distributed for the objective5 of the charity are ￿taIned in reserve5 to
be distributed 3s donations in future accounting periods. The reserves policy Is reviewed 3nnually for It's appropriateness in
spect to the aitns and objective5 of the charity.
Rlsk Management
The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity Is exposed and are satisfied that systems are in pla￿ to
mitigate exposure to rnajor risk5.
Going Concern
After making appropriate enquirie5, the Trustees have a reasonable expectation that the charity ha5 adeouate resources to
continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason they continue to adopt the going concern basis
in preparing financial staternents.
Additional Note
FUTURE PLANS
Short terrn objectives for the future is to ensure the charity has sufficient funds to recower from the 3dverse Impact
resulting from the covid-lg pandemic. Additionally, to continue work with the Destiny Gates Foundation on the development
OF reporting on students For sponsors, towards the objective of reporting updates three times per year.
Longer term aims are to develop the high school, and build the extension for the women's empowerment centre which will
anticipate creating further employment in training roles.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Choice Thmugh Education UK (the Trust) for the year ended 31
December 2024.
Responslbllltles and Basls of Report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the account5 in accordance with the
requirements of the Charities Act 2011 I-the Act").
I report in respert of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying
out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Cornmission under section 14515llbl of
the Act.
Independent Examiner's Statement
I have completed my exarnination. I confirm that no material matters have come to rny attention in connection with the
examination giving me cause to believe that in any material ￿Spect..
l. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as ￿quIred by section 130 of the Act; or
2. the accounts do not accord with those ￿COrds. or
3. the accounts do not comply with the applicable reouirements concerning the forrn and contents of accounts *t out in

2. 1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 "Accounting and
Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (effective I
January 20191. Financial Reportlng Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Stsndard appllcable In rhe UK and Republic
of Ireland 2nd the Charities Act 2011.
The charity is a Public Benefit Entity as defined by FRS 102.
2.2. Incoming Resources
An increase In donations for the year saw the tharity turnover amount to £42,069. Of whlch, the charity made outward
donations totalling £36,730 to further support project5 In the Kenya reglon.
