|||Our chairman<br>gave a short address about the work of57:fourteen and||
|||some attendees<br>agreed to assist the work ofthe charity.<br>These||
|||contacts are being developed.||
|||57:fourteen's<br>Policies and Procedures<br>are continually<br>updated,<br>and||
|||liaison with Liverpool Diocese's Safeguarding<br>Officer continues.||
|||Contacts with prisons and churches<br>have progressed<br>and new||
|||opportunities<br>are being explored<br>with churches<br>throughout<br>the||
|||Diocese.<br>It is anticipated<br>that the original six participating<br>churches||
|||will increase significantly.||
|||We have maintained<br>contact with Paul Brown from the Message Trust||
|||who is working<br>in Altcourse<br>Prison, using Alpha and other relevant||
|||courses.||
|||The proposed<br>partnership<br>with Junction 42, a similar charity based|in|
|||Newcastle,<br>is being further developed.<br>It is hoped that 57:fourteen's||
|||church<br>links will dovetail<br>with J42's prison<br>links. We are looking at||
|||initial contacts being made directly between<br>churches<br>and offenders||
|||through<br>prayer partnerships,<br>possible<br>letter-writing<br>ministry||
|||(anonymous)<br>and eventually<br>settlement<br>ofex-offenders<br>in local||
|||churches.||
|||Stuart Dufly, from Westhead StJames, has attended<br>board meetings||
|||since January 2022 and has agreed to become aTrustee.||
|||There remains a need to appoint a Liaison Officer who might further||
|||promote 57:fourteen and continue the liaison with partnering||
|||organisations.||
