HOUSE CHAIRMAN'S REPORT FOR 1.1.22 to 31.12.22

Hi to everyone another year has past, time seems to rush by since covid ,membership is down on last year although we have new club activities Country dancing.

The Lunch club see a good settled number this year, more are always welcome,

Coffee mornings attendance on a Tuesday is low however Thursday morning stands at 16-18, these members then stay to lunch and then Bingo. Lunch is £ 3-50 for Main and Pudding. Fish and Chips week is £6-50 with Pudding.

This year we have had plans drawn up to put a storage facility on the SouthEast corner of building, we are awaiting Building regs. We have had a couple of fund raising events so far. A £1,000 was raised from Bingo and a Quiz night.

The new floor has made a difference and easier to maintain. This has encouraged us to have a monthly country dancing event. We also held our 2nd St George's Day tea. 30 people attended.

We held a Volunteer's Day on Monday 8[th] May and refurbished one of the raised beds nearest to

carpark with a camelia planted to commemorate King Charles III Coronation.

We are currently trying to have a club activity monthly also various trips out- see notice board

for information on trips and what’s on. Beetle Drives etc.

If you have any suggestions to help the club move forward, please see a member of the house committee, with that in mind I wish you all a good year to come and thank you.

Terry Connor suggested move activities. BB said that we advertise our activities on the website, there is not a lot of spare time as we have bookings. Friday night and Saturday are usually free.

There will be a Newsletter next month. Keep looking at the website and if you are able, follow our Facebook page.

Eric Senior asked members to continue to support the Centre when the weather is not as good and the evenings darker.

House Chairman, Bob Burchett (BB).
