After making appropTiate enquiries, the trnstees have a re￿onable expectatiDn that the company has adequate resources to
cimtinue in operational ¢xi¥t¢nce for the foreseeable future. Thus the trustees continue to adopt the going concern b￿15 of
aecounting in preparing th¢ fjnalleial statements.
b. Ineome and expenditure
The Company r¢¢eived it)come from donations which, includ￿8 Gift Aid, amounted to £465,704 (2022.. £428,806). During
the year the compatLy spent £275,753 (2022.. £285,152) on charitable activities and £117,386 (2022.. £111,295} th)
governan¢¢ ¢usts. Including investmenl incom¢ of £Nil (2022.. £Nil} the net income of the cornpany w&$ £72,565 (2022:
£32,359). Th¢ Trustees will consider how best to apply these funds for charitable purp05CS.
In 2023 charitable exponditure OJL specific projects was £190,000 (2022.. £195,000). -I'he expcndithre comprised.. £50,000
grant to the Pisap FMC AecoglienTa Pellegrini for the Sr. Anthony Basilica Pilgrim reception program. £20,000 to the
Cardinal Hume Centre Emmigrdtion Advice Servi¢e, payrnenÉ5 to Caritag Sant.￿lton10 of £IOO,000 for medical cquipment
and housing and edu¢ation in Illd￿ attd Kenya and £20,000 to bmc Messaggero di Sant Antonio Editrice to fund the St.
ADthony's life exhibition.

Financial position
At 31 Dccember 2023 the Company had cash at bank of £619,144 (2022.. £609,278) and debtors of £23,788 (2022..
£22,434) giving a total of gross assets of £642,932 (2022.. £631,712). Against this the Company had liabilities of £67,025
(2022- £128,370). The net assets at 31 December 2023 was £575,907 {2022.. £503,342).
It is the policy of the charity that unrestricted ￿ndS which have not been designated for a specific llse should be maintain¢d
at a l¢v¢l at least equivalent to six month's expenditure. Thc tmsÈees consider that reserves at this level will ensure thaL ill
the event of a significant drop in funding, they will be able to continue the charity'5 current activities while considcration is
given lo ways in which the additional fLll)ds may be raised. This level of reseryes has been maintained throughout the year.

up of thc total of dircct cosls and shared costs, including support costs involved in undertaking each activity.
Direct costs attributable to a sinuFl¢ activity are allocated directly to that activity. Shared wsts whi¢h ¢ontrÈbute
to more than one activity and SUPFX)rt costs which are not attributable to a single activity are &pwrtioned
between those activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources. Central staff costs are allo¢at¢d on the
