TRusfEES REPORT YSGOL FEITHRIN CONWY CHARITY NUMBER 1180173 The Committee of Ysgol Feithrin Conwy present the Annual Report and Audited Accounts for the year ending 03/0412025. We are a Charitable Incorpordted Organisation. OUR AIMS The playgroup provides learning opportunities and care for preschool children aged between 2 and 4yrs of age. We provide the Iohrs Early years education phase for 3yr olds. This session is between 8.40am to 11.10am. We also provide care from 11.10 to 3.10pm with children crossing overfrom the earfier session. We also dothe 20hr chIldca￿ funding which working parents may qualify for. Some children do lunch club and they are taken to school for Ipm. We collect children from school at 11.30am and look afterthem till 3.10pm. In September 2024 we moved into an upstairs da55room in Ysgol Porth y Felin. We very much feel part of the school now and have the use of the school hall for our children to eat their packed lunches at luneh time. We are classed as an all day setting. We open tem time onlv. We are a memberof Early years Wales. In September 2023 we became a member of Flyingstart so children aged between 2 and 3yrs who live in a Flwng Start post code could benefftfrorn up to 12.shrs of childcare free. OUR OBJECTIVES Our staff promote learning through play and children are continually obseprfed and assessed to make sure they reach their full potential. A good environment encourage5 children to feel safe and play. to feel relaxed and happy. We have use of an outside area at the School and we are encouraging pa￿nts to help us maintain IL Play encourages language and communication in children. THEMES FOR THE YEAR INCLUDED AUTUMN. Settled children in and got to knowthem. Talked about the different animals like squirrels and created them in art and craft. Went on a leaf walk. collected different leaves and discussed them, did an Autumn scavenger hunt. Did a nature table. We made pumpkin pictures and decorated pumpkins. Took part in Beep Beep Day which is to do with road safety. ME AND MYSELF Talked about families. where they live. transport. Bonfire night and what this means. Went for walks to find different houses and saw buses and trains. cars and Bikes that people use every day. WINTER We talked about ice and snow and how it forms. How animals live in different Countries where they have snow and ice all year round. Messy play with ice and gloop and the animals.

Made Christmas crafts fortheirfamilies and friends. Had Christmas dinner with Christmas jumpers on. Did Christmas lists and posted them to Santa. JANUARY/FEBRUARY Talked about Christmas with theirfamilies and made snow flakes and winter picture5. Looked at the itchy bear story and talked about bears. Did Chinese New Year. Nursery Rhymes books and songs. Made Goldie Locks and 3 Bears for Wall Display. Crafts with 3 Little Pigs and bad Wotf. Valentines Daylst Dwynwen Day. MARCH. Spring. planting seeds, flower makin& baby animals. went on walks to find new things growing. The Feithrin continues to provide opportunities for Parents/Carers to discuss their childs development and progress while attending the Feithrin. Committee members are also available for parents to talk to if they have any worries. Dojo is being introduced to parents and use this method to relay messages and information and photos. Parents are informed daily of artivities they have done and what healthy snacks they have eaten. Parents can speak to staff when children are dropped off and collected at the end of their Session. AFfER SCHOOL CLUB We haven't reinstated After School Club owing to not havlng qualrfied staff to run it. OUR KEY OBJEcnvES FOR THE YEAR INCLUDE Promote staff welfare and training. Continue close links with the School. Encourage the invofvement of Parents/Carers in all aspects of the setting and their childrens development. To encourage parents/Carers to come on the Committee. Parents are not keen to join Committees these days. We would like to thank those that do help us.
