The Committee of YsEol Feithrin Conwy present the Annual Report and Audited Accounts for
the year ending 0310412023. We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation.

The playgroup provides learning opportunities and care for preschool children aged between 2
and 4yrs of age. We provide the Iohrs Early years education phase for 3yr olds. This session is
between 8.40am to 11.10am. We also orovide care from 11.10 to 3.IODm with children crossin
overfrom the earfiersession. We also do the 20hr childcare funding which working parents
may qualify for. Some children do lunch club and they are taken to school for Ipm. We collect
children from school at 11.30am and look afterthem till 3.IODm.
We are situated on a school site in Convry. We are dassed as an all day setting. We open term
tlme only.
OUR OBJECTIVES
Our staff promote leaming through play and children are continually observed and assessed to
make Sure they reach their full potential. A good environment encourages children to feel safe
and play, to feel relaxed and napDV.
We are still waiting for new premises the staff make the best use of outside area available
to them so children can play in and out. Play encourages language and communication in
children.
Some of the theme5 used were People who help u5. Police, Fire service.
Ambulance/Paramedics.
Doctorslnurses. RNLI. Mountain rescuelAir rescue.
Lots of fun doing Easter crafts. talking about the seasons. growing from seeds. Children visited
the local park. use the sensory school garden. And lots more.
Staff have been working towards a New Foundation framework for Early Years, from September
2023 New areas of learning will indude belongin& communication, exploration, physical
development and Wellbeing.
Staff continue to introduce SirnDle welsh words to thildren dail¥.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUB.
Unfortunatelv the After School dub had to dose the end of October 2022. This was due to staff
leaving and not being able to recruit aualified staff to replace them. We will see what happens
in the future.
COVID 19
This is still all around us and staff are vigilent with deaning as usual.
The fallout from covid is still being felt by children and staff alike.

NEW BUILDI.
We are very disappointed that we have not had a new building yet as promiseo to us In
Eady 2020. We hope things might 80 ahead in the next 12 monin&.
