The committee of Ysgol Feithrin Conwrf present the Annual Reixirt and Audited Accounts for the
year ending 0310412022 We are a Charitsble IncortM)rated Organisation.
OURAIMS
The aim of the playgroup is to provide learni￿ opportunitie5 and care for preschool children aged
between 2 and 4 years. We provide the Iohrs Education Foundation phase for 3yr olds. The sessions
for 2 to 3yr olds are 8.40am to 11.10am. We also provide care for 3 to 4yr olds wlth some children
crossing over frorn the earlier session. We also take part in the 20hr childcare funding which
working parents may qualify for. We collect children from part time school at 11.30am till 3pm daily.
We also tske children to school for Iprn for the afternoon part time session.we are situated on a
school site in Conwy. We also run an After School Club from 3pm to 5.45pmforchildren under 12yrs
of age. We are dassed as an all day setting.
OUR OBJECTIVES.
There are 7 areas of leaming in the foundation phase. Our stsff promote learning through play which
is very important for children espeually the 3 to 4yr old5. Although we are waiting for new premises
for our playgroup the staff make the best of the OLrtside area available to them at present so
children can play inside and out at all times. This encouraEes them to take risks and not to worry if
they make mistake& It helps with language and communication skill. to share with others. They are
encouraged to use their imagination and be creative.
AFfER SCHOOLCLUB
The after school club continues to be busy and continues to work alongside playgroup and the local
school in providing wrap around affordable child care for parents/carers.
COVID 19.
This vims Is still about ws all and staff continue to be ViEilant with dean1￿ of toys and equipment at
all time& We ask parents not to send children in that show wmptoms of this virus to help to stop the
spread and protect children and staff.
We would like to thank tho staff for all they do to protect the children in their care as much as they
can from this virus.
