We do this through<br>regular workshops on topics<br>such as taking cuttings,<br>mushroom logs and fruit<br>trees to name a few.<br>iv.<br>Increasing biodiversity and<br>protecting the environment.<br>We use organic<br>permaculture principles. The<br>garden is already attracting<br>bees, pollinators, and other<br>benefcial creatures to<br>pollinate the trees and<br>plants.<br>b) The garden is being planted based<br>on permaculture principles and<br>patterns which mimic the natural<br>environment. The existing plants<br>found in the garden area were<br>incorporated in the design to<br>enhance the natural environment<br>and support the ecosystem.<br>c) Through Brent CIL funding, the<br>charity has ofered a fully funded<br>Permaculture Design training<br>course for 30 participants to learn<br>how to design and create<br>Permaculture spaces for the<br>community and educate others in<br>permaculture principles and<br>sustainable approachestoliving.|

The garden<br>was originally planned to be<br>created around a timetable of<br>permablitzes installing the garden<br>in a phased approach.<br>(A permablitz is a one-day garden<br>makeover event supported by a<br>group of local volunteers).<br>The global pandemic afected most<br>aspects of the initial project idea –<br>including timeframe, methods, and<br>modes of delivery. We still have<br>funding to spend on the garden and<br>associated project deliverables and<br>we continued to monitor and adjust<br>our timeframe andmodes of|

|permaculture Festival at Cecil|||
|Sharp House.|||
|The course began in September|||
|2022 with 30 students and is due|||

|May held a pop-up plant and cake|
