Friends of Stalybridge War Memorial (FofSWM) Report of AG.M Held at 369 Wakefield Road, Heyrod Statybridge SK15 38L The Meeting began at 15:30hrs 22 January 2025 In attendance Mr P Edwards Chairniantrrvstee Mr H A Dransfield Treasurernrustee Mr F Harrop Fundraisernrustee Minutes of the last meeting were accepted as a true and correct record. Chairnian's re The past year has seen a slowing down of income. This is mainly due to a lack of volunteer collectors and the issue waiting for the account held at Natwest to be deared to give acce55 to the three alm trustees. The account at Nat West is now set up in the name of all three trustees and is accessible to each Indivtdual as an executor which give5 them the right to act on their own In trust. Secreta sRe It took a while to get the Nat West Bank to change the account holder from F. Smith to H.Dransfield and to re-set the account into the format we required. The consequences of thls meant that the Annual Report to the Charities Commisslon suffered a long delay, b this should be rectified by the end of January 2025. We will then be able to give more attention to our fund raising efforts. It must also be noted that that the number of volunteers we have are falling. Annual reports for previous years have not been submitted as the have not been fr>und. The secretary at the time has died and we have gone through all the paperswe could Find and nothin8 has shown up. AOB A new planning application has been requested. This wlll be produced, at cost, by Purcell Architecture Ltd. The plans will then be submitted to all parties concemed and paid for at the same time.
