The objectives of the charity are the adVan￿rnent and relief of poverty for 8irls and local
communities livin8 in rural Africa via education, in particular but not exclusively by:

Implementln8 functional literacy pro8ramrnes local communltie5.
teaching 8ir15 a trade in schools in order to wpport 5elf-rellance.
educating girls in sexual health and family planning* and
providin8 contlnuous professional development training for all teachin8 Staff by creating
partnerships with teathers and schools In the UK and Africa.

The charity has not operated either in Ni8eria or the UK during the year covered by this report.

In settlng our actNlties and objectives the year we have regard to both the Charlty Commlsslon's
general 8uidan¢e on public benefft and prevention and relief of poverty for the public benefit. The
trustees always en5￿￿ that the programmes we undertake are in line with our charitable objects
and aims.
