presentation of public concerts and recitals

the:

presentation of over 20 concerts, Christmas
busking and other public performances
across West Yorkshire for the public benefit.
Some of these were part of wider community
events such as the Bradford Industrial
Museum
Victorian
Christmas
Fayre.
Christmas busking included some high
profile venues such as Salts Mill in the
Saltaire World Heritage site and Harewood
House

establishment of smaller groups to play at
care
homes
across
the
area,
much
appreciated by residents

provision of rehearsal facilities to help
existing and new band members improve
their playing standards

continued improvement in musical standards
within the band under the enthusiastic
leadership of the new Musical Director and
the Assistant Musical Directors, which has
enabled the band to play more challenging
and entertaining pieces of music for existing
and prospective new band members and, in
due course, for the public benefit

establishment of an online music lending
library to assist players with practicing music
recruitment of new good standard players
across sections of the band - membership is
open to anyone who plays a concert band
instrument and has reached an appropriate
level of musicianship
continued development and implementation
of a wide range of policies and procedures
to enable the band to be compliant with
expected standards
provision of a range of social activities for
members and their partners, at zero cost to
BCB, to maintain camaraderie and social
contact
