PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (MEETS NEEDS OF THE PRESENT WITHOUT COMPROMISING ABILITY OF FUTURE GENERATIONS TO MEET THEIR OWN NEEDS) FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY: - THE PRESERVATION, CONSERVATION AND THE PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE PRUDENT USE OF NATURAL RESOURCES; - THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE IN SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES; - THE PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE MEANS OF ACHIEVING ECONOMIC GROWTH AND REGENERATION.3. **Activities:** The conservation and protection of the Cross River Gorilla and its rainforest environment by: - working with organisations active in conservation, education and development; - scientific research activity on the flora and fauna of the rainforest ecosystem,  - the relief of poverty in displaced local communities; - education in the conservation of the biodiversity of rainforests.
