Examples of such**<br>**instances include: following up on**<br>**reports of potential wildlife crime**<br>**reported by concerned members of the**<br>**public and liaising with the police and**<br>**providing appropriate advice; providing**<br>**advice to famers and landowners**<br>**experiencing issues with badgers on**<br>**their land; liaising with ecological**<br>**consultants in order to aid ecological**<br>**assessments of potential developments**<br>**such as road construction.**<br>**Norfolk Badger Trust collect, validate**<br>**(where appropriate) and collate badger**<br>**records (setts, live sightings and dead**<br>**animals) from trustees, members and the**<br>**general public via voluntary reporting.**<br>**This information is made available for**<br>**use by third parties in research and**<br>**impact assessments for developments**<br>**etc. where appropriate.**<br>**All of the activities listed above have**<br>**benefitted badgers and/or the public.  By**<br>**offering advice and information Norfolk**<br>**Badger Trust have been able to**<br>**effectively promote the conservation and**<br>**protection of badgers, which in turn**<br>**ensures the ecosystem services they**<br>**provide humanity persist.
