Examples of**<br>**such instances include: following up on**<br>**reports of potential wildlife crime**<br>**reported by concerned members of the**<br>**public and liaising with the police;**<br>**providing advice to concerned**<br>**landowners about orphan badger cubs**<br>**and ultimately carrying out rescue and**<br>**rehabilitation; working with wildlife**<br>**rescue organisations to facilitate rescue**<br>**operations and the transport of badgers**<br>**to the appropriate centres; providing**<br>**advice to farmers and landowners**<br>**experiencing issues with badgers on**<br>**their land; liaising with ecological**<br>**consultants in order to aid ecological**<br>**assessments of potential developments.**<br>**Public engagement/educational talks:**<br>**During the reporting period the**<br>**Coronavirus pandemic has meant that**<br>**the group did not feel it appropriate to**<br>**attend public events or deliver talks**<br>**such as would usually be a core activity**<br>**of the group.**<br>**Norfolk Badger Trust collect, validate**<br>**(where appropriate) and collate badger**<br>**records (setts, live sightings and dead**<br>**animals) from trustees, members and**<br>**the general public via voluntary**<br>**reporting**<br>**All of the activities listed above have**<br>**benefitted badgers and/or the public.  By**<br>**offering advice and information Norfolk**<br>**Badger Trust have been able to**<br>**effectively promote the conservation**|





**and protection of badgers, which in turn ensures the ecosystem services they provide humanity persist.  These activities also facilitate a reduction in human-badger conflict e.g. through minimising damage to property or promoting mitigation to reduce road vehicle collisions with badgers, and allowing people to work within the laws pertaining to badgers and their setts.**
