Section D Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

The charity is young and the first task is to create the gardens that will be used to fulfil the charitable objectives.

During the year under review work began on building the gardens including

- Obtaining professional designs based upon a 4 seasons theme, incorporating private and sheltered spaces to sit and reflect

- Clearing the ground and creating drainage to ensure the gardens thrive

- The purchase and planting of established trees and plants as well as those to grow on

- The purchase and installation of seating, sculptures and other objects of interest or significance for the garden.

The intention is to extend the value of the gardens to the wider public and the trustees are pleased to announce that following the year end the charity has obtained planning permission to install poly tunnels. This will enable the charity to extend its reach by

- Supporting the intended beneficiaries with gardening therapy

- Donating produce to families in need

It is the stated aim of the charity to open the gardens to the public in the Spring of 2022.

**Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

## **Independent examiner's statement**

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect,:

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act; or

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or

- • the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
