To promote good crtEenship and encourage members to take an active
interest in civic. cultural. social and moral welfare of the community. To
provide a fonjm for open discussion of all matters of public interest

bric-a-brac and ￿rtffied electriGal goods to the general public.

Achievements and performance
Summary of the main
achiovements of thè charity
during the year
The Covid pandemic Gurtailed many of our activrties this year, however
we were able to donate almost £4000 to needy causes this year.
These included intemational appeals in Lebanon. Japan, Croatia and
India and local organisations including Homeless Street Hub. Salvation
Amiy, HARP. Southend Life Boats Themial Camera's and Diabeles
Charity.
We also donated money to help a local family recover from their house
fire.
We were able to procure a good condition mobility scooter which we
refurbished and donated to a local lady.
We also purchased a number of Primary School focused books titled
Polar Bears, regarding Climate Change which we donated to five local
schools.

All reserve monies are held in a Bank Account managed by the Clubs
Treasurer. All monies are reviewed monthly at a Club Business meeting
and annual accounts are completed by the Treasurer and signed by the
President. These are then sent to the Lions Club Region Treasurer for
review arKI filing.
