Due to<br>Covid and the subsequent delay regarding the<br>Lottery application, it was not until November<br>2020 that £38,500 was awarded to help<br>complete the Careby, Aunby & Holywell Village<br>Hall project.<br>Meanwhile litter-picking by the chairman<br>realised £452 per annum and Lottery SK<br>provides a monthly £40|

## **Achievements and Performance**

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|During May and June 2020 a professional<br>joiner made and fitted 7 replica hardwood<br>windows. At this time the Land Registry<br>Property Register confirmed Careby Village Hall<br>ownership by the trustees.<br>The original hall floor was sanded, and, priming<br>and painting of the windows commenced by<br>volunteers during July and August  while more<br>volunteers replaced many sheets of corrugated<br>iron exterior cladding and painted on a<br>weekend in September by 9 more volunteers.<br>In October new doorways for disabled access<br>were constructed and bracing all the internal<br>walls was commenced.<br>Following the Lottery Grant in November,<br>electricians were taken on to start first fix for<br>the cabling for the electrics. New lighting and<br>plugs etc were in place by February 2021.<br>In December, following delivery of Celotex<br>insulation and plywood to refurbish the<br>interior hall, kitchen and toilet areas,<br>volunteers, ( including a 15 year old schoolboy<br>working towards the Duke of Edinburgh award<br>scheme),began the long task of the installation,<br>completed by the end of February2012. During<br>this time the reconditioned stainless steel<br>kitchen units also arrived.<br>In March 2021 the hot water boiler was<br>installed and a cupboard to house it was built<br>by a volunteer. Also at this time hedging and<br>fencing alongside the footpath on the west<br>side of the hall was replaced.|

|The charity’s principal<br>sources of funds (including<br>any fundraising)|Para 1.47|Grant funding from South Kesteven District<br>Council for the renovations for Careby Aunby &<br>Holywell Village Hall began to arrive, starting<br>on 23rdJuly 2019. This first grant of £10,000<br>was for part funding of the new insulated roof.<br>On 26thJuly Community Lottery Funding<br>realised a further £10000 which covered the<br>cost of removal of the old roof and its<br>replacement.<br>On 21stOctober 2019 Waitrose, through its<br>customers, donated £250.<br>Lottery SK Ltd was set up by Trustee Iain<br>Richards and this provides ongoing monthly<br>funding of approx. £40.<br>The Chair of Trustees litter picks the parish<br>daily resulting in SKDC paying £452 per annum<br>into charity funds.<br>Further funding of £1,000 was donated by our<br>now retired SKDC District Councillor. This grant<br>was designated towards seven new windows.<br>On 4thMarch 2020, Invest SK also granted<br>£3,000 towards these replacement windows.|
